A warm welcome awaits you at our Guesthouse here in the Lot department of France. Now in our 8th year, we continue to offer excellent value Bed and Breakfast to explore this fascinating area. A few kilometres from the delightful old market town of St. Céré, the house is set high in the hills surrounded by wonderful countryside and abundant wildlife. Previously a farmhouse owned by several generations of the same family, our home now offers comfortable newly refurbished en-suite bedrooms, relaxed dining and a “home from home” atmosphere. Our Guest Book is full of lovely comments about Alex’s evening dinners, freshly prepared using local seasonal produce including imaginative vegetarian options and which are available most evenings by reservation. |

Recently we were featured on the Guardian Newspaper Travel Website as one of of the top "veggie friendly" Bed & Breakfasts for our vegetarian menu option which included "a lemon tart to rival any you'll find in a patisserie!" In 2008 we were also featured in a best selling book about running Bed & Breakfasts in France.
Besides a wealth of beautiful medieval villages and towns to explore, the countryside is a walkers and naturalists paradise. For those who wish to experience the delights of walking in France we offer our very popular Walking Holidays. Other activities available in the area include horse-riding, canoeing on the river Dordogne and cycling on and off-road. For those hot summer days, why not visit the near-by Lac du Tolerme, a large freshwater lake set in glorious surroundings with it's own restaurant and perfect for swimming. Within easy reach are "Les Plus Beaux Villages De France" of Autoire, Cardaillac, Carennac, Turenne and Loubressac. You can also visit the delightful riverside at Beaulieu sur Dordogne or the stunning village of Rocamadour (the 2nd most visited site in France!) and don't miss Figeac with its lovely medieval centre and our favourite weekly market. Add the numerous fascinating cave systems (including the Gouffre de Padirac), one of the best birds of prey centres in France and the many local fetes and festivals and you have an ideal spot to enjoy a holiday in the wonderful Lot department. "Though
less well known than its neighbour the Dordogne, the Lot has
a special beauty in its rocky and limestone plateaus, river valleys,
walnut groves and little villages. With one of the lower population
densities in France, the Lot preserves much that is old - and
good" National Geographic Traveler Magazine - September
